JOHN HENRY MOORE

Johnston City–John Henry Moore 89 of Johnston City passed away at 7:58 P.M. on Monday December 10, 2018 in the Herrin Hospital

A private funeral service will be in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.

John was born on May 25, 1929 in Johnston City the son of John S. and Iva (Williams) Moore. He married Catherine (Pasquino) on May 21, 1950. She survives.

John was a retired Trainman working as a Railroad Conductor for Union Pacific for forty years. He owned Moore Bros. Auto Sales for forty Years.

He is survived by two sons, John P. Moore and wife Donna of Johnston City and Rick Moore of Johnston City; three grandchildren, Jeffery Moore of Johnston City, Jaimie Harner of Harrisburg, and Zach Moore of Johnston City; two great grandchildren, Blake Baugher and Ivie Harner; a former daughter-in-law, Pam Moore of Johnston City; one brother, Jim Moore; one sister, Juda Grounds and husband Bill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Edna Moore; a nephew, Tim Grounds; and a good friend, Troy Crabtree.
