Jon H. Clements
February 22, 1960 – July 21, 2024

Jon H. Clements, 64, passed away on July 21, 2024. Born and raised in Johnston City, Illinois, Jon was the youngest of four siblings and the beloved son of Pat Owens and the late Charles "Chuck" Clements.

Jon was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Clements; his brother, Michael Clements; his grandmother, Faye; and his paternal grandparents John and Flossie.

He is survived by his mother, Pat Owens; his sister, Cathy Spehar (Scott); his brother, Lance Clements (Nancy); and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will remember him with deep affection.

Jon began his career as a machinist but later found his calling in ministry, serving as a missionary in inner-city Chicago, as well as in Vietnam and Guatemala. In his later years, he worked along the Gulf Coast of Alabama, first in the high-rise construction industry and later as an independent catastrophic insurance adjuster.

Jon was a man of many interests, including knife-making and gunsmithing. But more than anything, he was known as a man of faith, someone who lived out his belief in God through his daily actions. His kindness, quiet strength, and deep trust in God left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even in times of great struggle, Jon carried himself with grace and unwavering belief.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held Monday May 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City.
