JOYCE JEAN SNEDDEN

Johnston City–Joyce Jean Snedden 88, of Johnston City, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday March 31, 2018, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Keith Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Joyce was born on February 28, 1930, in Stiritz, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Jeralds) Johnson. She married J.R. Snedden who preceded her in death on January 9, 2008.

Joyce was a seamstress working at Smoler Brothers for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Johnston City.

She is survived by six daughters, Donna Lipe and husband Marvin, Marsha Snedden, Karen Snedden, Kathy Snedden, Debbie Olmen and husband Steve, and Mary Beth Deel and husband Poley; five grandchildren, Christine Lipe, Kellie Willms and husband Seth, Sarah Redin and husband Cody, Samuel Deel, and Markeya Burkepile; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Colton Willms; a sister-in-law, Lucille Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bennie Johnson; and a sister, Gladys.
