JUANITA L. RAINS SPEARS

Johnston City–Juanita L. Rains Spears 94 passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:10 A.M. at the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday December 16, 2020 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Paul Burbank officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Juanita was born on December 9, 1926 in Johnston City the daughter of Wilse and Lela (Vitatoe) Litton. She first married to Hershel Greer and then she married Noble Rains who preceded her in death, and she then married Jesse Spears who preceded her in death.

Juanita was a LPN working for Lincoln State School for 19 years and then working for Union Hospital in West Frankfort for 16 years retiring in 1988.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Stiles of Harristown; 3 step-daughters; 1 step-son; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother Clifford "Kip" Litton of Johnston City; and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.
