JUDY CULBRETH

Johnston City–Judy Culbreth 75 of Johnston City passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday December 15, 2018, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Judy was born on July 31, 1943, in West Frankfort, the daughter of Loren Ray and Eva Irene (Daub) Smith. She married Larry Culbreth on October 6, 1962 who preceded her in death on April 20, 2008.

Judy was a homemaker whose focus was always on providing for her family. She was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt. She loved living in the country, watching the birds, and enjoying her flowers.

She was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Williams Prairie Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Dena McLochlin and husband Tim of Plymouth, IN; one son, Stacy Culbreth of West Frankfort; four grandchildren, Hannah, Sophie, Nicholas, and Emily; one great-grandson, Calvin and another on the way; two sisters, Pat Summers of Johnston City, and Rosalee Clayton and husband Jerry of Johnston City; two brothers, Mickey Smith of Johnston City and Paul Smith and wife Darlene of Marion; two sisters-in-law, Elan and Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Earl and Vaneta Culbreth a sister, Betty Smith; three brothers-in-law, Willis Summers, Raymond Culbreth, and Rick Culbreth; one sister-in-law, Nancy Smith; a niece, Vicki Summers; a nephew, Mitch Summers.
