JUDY ENGELHARDT

Johnston City–Judy Lynn (nee Tackitt) Jurcy Engelhardt. Judy passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 27 2020 at 7:45 am after singing with her family gathered around her bed the evening before. Judy will be cremated.

She was born to Donald and Juanita (nee Funkhouser) Tackitt in Chicago Illinois.

She married Denise Keith Jurcy.

Judy had worked for the Cook County IL Jail in Chicago. She later worked for the Williamson county IL. Jail in Marion. She also was a road construction worker.

She is survived by two sisters, Debbie and John Henzler and Susan Tackitt, four children, Bryan Jurcy of Herrin, Dennis Jurcy Jr. and Tonika of Hurst, Heather Casanova of Johnston City; and Rebecca Roberts and husband, Kenny, of Johnston City.

Grandchildren: Rebecca Wilson, Dillon and Zander Jurcy, Jayda Smith, Nevaeh, Reno, Ricky, Chyenne Casanova, Stephanie Salinas, Jon Smiley, Jerica and Jerrin Ogden, Zack, Tamara, and Chelsey Roberts.

Great Grandchildren: Tristen, Nathan, Selena, Elizabeth, Hunter, Jasmine, Ryder.

Special friend Gene Judy Engelhardt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Dennis, Fernando and Byron.

Judy had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping people.
