WYONNA "JUNE" SMITH

Johnston City–Wyonna "June" Smith 98, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 7:40 A.M. at the Parkway Manor in Marion.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 25, 2016 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

June was born on June 17, 1918 in Johnston City the daughter of Leo and Ella Margaret (Stover) Thomas. She married Carl Smith on July 21, 1935 in Marion. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1977.

She was an Avon Saleslady for 47 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Johnston City.

She is survived by a son, Carl L. Smith and wife Ardith of Johnston City; a son-in-law, Richard Eldridge of Valparaiso, IN; 5 grandchildren, Shavon Emmanuelson and husband Gary, Jennifer Davis and husband Joe, Vicki Jo Delinger and husband Scott, Amanda Melnyk and husband Alex, and Kimberly Boggs and husband Kevin; 7 great-great grandchildren; 9 great-great-great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Davies of Chicago Ridge; a nephew Bill Wilson and wife Yvonne; a niece, Peggy Small; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Eldridge; a sister, Evelyn Maxine Thomas; and a brother, Gene Thomas.
