KATHALENE B. WILSON

Johnston City – Kathalene Beryl (Roberts) Wilson, 91, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Herrin Hospital.
Services will be held at the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with the Rev. Keith Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, following the service. A dinner will be held at the Freewill Baptist Church of Johnston City following the burial.
Kathalene was born March 27, 1923, in Macfarlan, Ritchie County, West Virginia, to James Francis Roberts and Lydia Jane (Haught) Roberts.
Kathalene married Thomas Wilson of Johnston City on July 3, 1944, and moved to Johnston City in 1945. They had two children, Harry James Wilson (deceased) and Thomas Wayne Wilson, now of Carterville, Illinois. Her husband preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Wayne Wilson and his wife, Carlene Lorraine (Branch) Wilson, of Carterville, Illinois, two step grandchildren, Brian Cleaver of Cambria, Illinois, and Michelle Ann (Cleaver) Showwalter, of Kilbourne, Illinois, numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
