KATHERINE LITTON
Johnston City-Katherine Litton, 95, of Johnston City, passed away at 9:59 a.m. Friday August 10, 2012 in Parkway Manor in Marion.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday August 12, 2012 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Furney Revels officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Church of God of Prophecy of Johnston City. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Katherine was born on June 20, 1917 in Benton the daughter of William and Pearl (Bridges) McCormick. She married Tom Litton on April 17, 1937 in Stiritz. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1987.

Katherine was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Johnston City for 75 years.

She is survived by 5 children, Betty Franklin and husband Bob of Wilmington, Ralph Litton and wife Janet of Marion, Ronnie Litton and wife Brenda of Johnston City, Randy Litton and wife Lydia of Phoenix, AZ; Larry Litton and wife Cheri of Johnston City; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert McCormick of West Frankfort and Thomas McCormick of Washington State; 3 sisters, Jewel Wright of West Frankfort, Mildred Marks of West Frankfort, and Betty Kristoff of Lick Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Ricky and Tommy Jr.; 1 granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Litton; 1 grandson, R. Wilson Litton; 2 sisters, Helen Davenport and Virginia Masters; and 3 brothers, Raymond McCormick, Ralph McCormick and Earl McCormick.
