Johnston City–Kathy Ann Hayes, 58, of Johnston City passed away at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, MO.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday October 10, 2013, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Kathy was born on May 14, 1955 at Franklin Hospital in Benton. She loved the outdoors, caring for her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her long time companion, Rick Hayes; four daughters, Tawnya Crouch, Rhonda Slaton, Amy Abbott, and Constance Boyd; one son, James Abbott; three sisters, Carol Roth, Lisa McPherson, and Robin Bowrey; eight granddaughters; three grandsons; three great grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her so much.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Webster; her father, William "Pick" Wagner, one sister, Lori Wagner; and one grandson, Dalton Baxter;

All that knew her will cherish all the memories they have and will carry her in their hearts forever.
