KENNETH B. DAWKINS JR.

Marion–Kenneth B. Dawkins Jr. 74 passed on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 1:50 P.M. at Herrin Hospital with family present.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday June 24, 2023, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Jim Ebbs officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon Saturday at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Faye Dawkins; mother, Carrole Dawkins; father, Kenneth Dawkins Sr.; and a brother, Robert Wayne Dawkins.

He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Taylor of Johnston City; children, Vanessa and Marcus Witt of Royalton, Sherry and Robert Villanueva of Baton Rouge, LA, Norma Van Hoorebeke and Jerry Barron of Herrin, Kim Anderson of FL, and Kenneth and Rachel Dawkins of Marion; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Kenneth B. Dawkins Jr was born on November 15, 1948 in Gary, IN. He married Norma (Dixon) on October 16, 1967.

Kenneth loved fishing, music, drawing, and being together with his family.
