KENNETH LEE LONG
Benton-Kenneth Lee Long, father of nine and Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War died Saturday, July 29. He was 90 years old.

Kenneth met the love of his life, Irene Powell, when he was 17 years old. They were happily married for 61 years.

He was known by his family as a man with a passion for cracking jokes and one-liners, and he stayed sharp all the way to the end.

He had an enduring love for Irene, his family and his little wiener dogs.

Kenneth also had a passion for his career in construction.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, sons Lyle and Brian, and his grandson Kenny Kroske.

He is survived by seven children: Karen Landis, Charlotte Long, Judy Kroske, Candy Stevens, Jan Waller, Shari Wolchek and Kendall Long; their spouses: Chet Landis, Glenn Kroske, Al Stevens, John Waller, Scott Wolchek and Sandy Long; his 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Saturday, August 2 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Murman and Wilson Funeral Home, 211 W. Broadway, Johnston City. A private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
