KENNETH ALLEN RICE

Johnston City–Kenneth Allen Rice 60, of Ninevah, IN, formerly of Corinth passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 4:05 P.M. at Indianapolis V.A. Medical Center.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Saturday November 28, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Larry McIntosh officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Herrin V.F.W. and American Legion and Illinois Army National Guard. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 noon Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born on December 15, 1948, in Geneva, the son of Leroy Sr. and Grace Mae (Learned) Rice. He married Helen (Zierk) Rice. She survives.

He honorably served in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by one daughter, Kendra Rice at home; step-daughter, Crystal Zebleckis and husband Paul of San Jose, CA; Brothers and sisters, Mike Rice of Vienna, Linda Outcalt of Ninevah, Bill Rice and wife Judy of Johnston City; step-brother and step-sisters Ralph Rice and wife Betty of West Frankfort, Judy Sharp and husband Jerry of Aurora, Joyce Sine and husband Steve of Marion; and one sister-in-law, Marsha Hoffard of Pittsburg; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Edwin Rice.
