KENNETH "CORKY" WAYNE VICK

Johnston City–Kenneth "Corky"Wayne Vick 77, of Johnston City passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 6:26 A.M. at home.

Kenneth was born on December 1, 1938 in Peoria the son of Richard and Opal Marie (Blankenship) Vick. He married Glenda Whitfield on March 29, 1959 in Whiteash. She survives.

Kenneth was a quality inspector at Abbott Labs in North Chicago. He was a member of the S.I. Worship Center.

Kenneth is survived by three daughters, Mellonee Hass and husband Jerry of Zion, Kendra Vick of Marion, and Marleah Fuente and husband Mickey of Beach Park; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Vick and wife Joann of Herrin; a sister-in-law, Patricia Palmer of Kenosha, WI; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Robert Wayne Swanson.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday July 21, 2016 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral home in Johnston City with Pastor Jason McKinnies. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Kenneth was a loving husband, wonderful father, and exceptional grandfather. He will be extremely missed.
