LARRY C. MILLIGAN

Johnston City-Larry C. Milligan 76 passed away Friday May 14, 2021 at 2:34 P.M. at home.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Becker Cemetery in Johnston City with military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and the Airforce Burial Honors Detail. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Larry was born on June 1, 1944 in Harrisburg the son of Emery and Eunice (Beers) Milligan. He married Patricia (Hunter) Milligan on November 29, 1968 in Johnston City they were married for 52 years. She survives.

Larry was a retired coal miner and a member of the U.M.W.A. He operated his own welding shop since 1980. He proudly served in the U.S. Air force for four years and served in Vietnam from 1967-1968 with the 114 ^th Air Commandos. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter and loved to ride his motorcycle. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Johnston City.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ann Milligan of Marion; 2 grandchildren, Lezlie Ann Nicholson of Gosport, IN and Wyatt James Nicholson of Marion;  a brother, Keith Fletcher and wife Sarah of Johnston City; an uncle, Vernon Milligan of the Chicago area; sisters-in-law, Linda Riggs and husband Tom of Lake of Egypt, Nancy Edds of Johnston City, and Dorothy Frye and husband Bob of Johnston City; a nephew, Jason Milligan and wife Wendy; a niece, Cami Hovda and husband Tim; a nephew, Aaron Fletcher and wife Marissa; a nephew, Jesse Fletcher and wife Lillian; a niece, Hannah Page and husband Daniel; a nephew, Todd Dunning and wife Leigh; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Gilbert Fletcher; a brother, Gary Milligan; a sister, Amonda Milligan; a nephew, Michael Frye; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warner and Dollie Hunter.
