LAURA ANN JONES
Whiteash-Laura Ann Jones 65 of Whiteash passed away Tuesday November 4, 2014 at 5:57 A.M. at her family home.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday November 7, 2014 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Steve Shea officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Whiteash Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the food pantry of choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Laura was born on April 18, 1949 in Danville, VA the daughter of Carl Waldrup and Azzalee (Worley). She married Gary Dean Jones on May 18, 1968 in Herrin. He survives.
She was a CNA working for home health and nursing homes. She attended Spillertown Baptist Church.
Her grandchildren were her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Misty Roland and husband Chad of Marion and Taffy Spiller of Florida; four grandchildren, Christopher Roland, Gavin Jones, Natalee Spiller, and Caden Roland; one aunt, Lillian Pruitt of Mt. Airy, GA; two uncles, Grover Worley of VA and Johnny Worley of CA; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a step-father, Danny Martinez.
