Lawrence (Larry) Wayne Kirchner 82 of Marion passed away December 11, 2025 at Deaconess Hospital in Marion following an extended illness.

Larry was born December 23, 1942 in Washington, IN to John and Edith Kirchner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert Kirchner, Michael Kirchner and sister in law June Kirchner.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Leveta of 60 years.  His daughter Lynn (Rich) Raubach.  His son Lee (Teena) Kirchner.  Grandchildren Nicholas (Suri) Raubach, Nicole (Brian Regel) Raubach,  Malaynia Bennett, CJ (fiance Brianna Gass) Kirchner.  Jon (Kristi) Bird, Jeff (Sonja) Bird, Justin (Amanda) Bird.  Great grandchildren Adriana Bird, Brandon Stahl, Andrew Bird, Katelyn Bird, Bristol Bennett, Gatlin Bennett, Landon Gass, Hutson Kirchner.

Surviving also are his sister Janice (Reggie) Harrell, brother Dennis Kirchner and sister in laws Geri Kirchner and Lana Kirchner.

Larry worked his entire career at JCPenney managing many departments working in Washington IN, Lafayette IN, Carbondale IL, Fairview Heights IL, then back to Carbondale spanning 53 years.

He served in the Army National Guard of Indiana and was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel of Herrin and St Joseph Catholic Church of Marion.

Larry spent many days at Lake of Egypt enjoying his boat and waterskiing with his family and friends.  He loved bowling on league night with family.

Per Larry's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
