LINDA KAY PICKERING

Johnston City-Linda Kay Pickering, 63, of Carbondale, formerly of Johnston City passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the St. Louis University Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7: 00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.
Linda was born December 15, 1952 in Herrin, Il to Willa Mae (Croft) Sisk and William V. Sisk.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell W. Pickering; daughter Brandi (Sisk) Sakr; two grandchildren, Nezam and Subria Sakr all of Carbondale; a sister, Ruth (Sisk, Steinmetz) Denton and a brother, William R. Sisk. She also had several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert (Bob) Sisk and her sister, Zula (Sisk, Mezo, Bell) Roberson.
Linda's biggest joy as of late was watching her grandkids grow up. The expression "love you to the moon and back" is exactly how she felt about them. She even took in their friends as if they were her own. The emptiness she leaves behind will always be there...
