LUETTA ELLIS

Pittsburg-Luetta Ellis 74 went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:53 A.M. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Services will be held on Saturday September 23, 2023 starting at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral home in Johnston City with Pastor Andy Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Luetta was born on January 27, 1949 in Marion the daughter of David and Ruth Mae (Harris) Evrard.

She attended Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church. She managed and enjoyed serving the people at the Pittsburg Mini Mart for 13 years then managed Casey's in Johnston City for over 10 years. The thing she most enjoyed and was most proud of was her grandchildren and family. She was an excellent cook and loved having her family around the table.

She is survived by her mother; 2 daughters, Mindy Harvel and husband Mike of Pittsburg, and Melissa Johnson and husband Paul of Johnston City; 1 son, Shawn Ellis and wife Crystal of Pittsburg; 7 grandchildren, Tyler Johnson and wife Allison, Trent Johnson, Blaine Harvel, Brett Harvel, Tori Ellis, Taylor Ellis, and Kash Ellis; 2 great grandchildren, Jase Johnson and Jenna Johnson; 5 brothers, Keith and Donna Evrard of Pittsburg, Larry And Sherry Evrard of Pittsburg, Link and Anita Evrard of Marion, David Lee and Pam Evrard of Herrin, George Evrard of Pittsburg; 2 sisters, Renee and Kent Engram of Marion and Angie (Evrard) Ek of Marion; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and cousin, Shelby Jackson of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
