M. Pauline Faro

Johnston City–M. Pauline Faro 81, of Johnston City passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 10:45 A.M. at the Herrin Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 9, 2010 with Rev. Ed Hoke officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Karen Lawler Scholarship Fund at John A Logan College or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or cemetery.

Pauline was born on August 23, 1928, in Jackson County the daughter of Bert Hall Sr. and Berneice (Collier). She was raised from the age of five by her father and stepmother, Audra (Vaughn). She married Elzy "Jiggs" Faro who preceded her in death.

Pauline was retired from the Herrin Hospital after 18 years of being a respiratory therapist. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Herrin.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Stephanie (Meracle) Carter and husband John of Goreville and Jeff Long and wife Kelly of Winthrop Harbor, four great grandsons; Trevor, Jacob, Matthew and Gavin and one great granddaughter Quinn Diane and one sister-in-law, Kay Hall of Marion and seven nephews and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Karen D. (Faro) Lawler and Gary D. Faro , two brothers, Bert Hall Jr. and Bob Hall.
