Marcella "Marcy" Trapani
Marcella Rose Cobb was born in Johnston City. Illinois on November 28, 1930. She was the oldest child of Clyde and Mable Cobb.
She leaves behind Shirley Ann Manier, and three deceased brothers: Donald Ray Cobb, Paul Dean (Buck) Cobb, and Bobby Cobb. All from Johnston City Illinois.
Marcella married James Vincent Trapani, also from Johnston City, in 1948.
Their family grew to three boys, Philip Trapani, Robert V. Trapani, and Jimmy Trapani.
In 1958 the family moved to Phoenix Arizona. James Trapani worked and retired after 39 years for the Scottsdale Public School System.
Marcella received her GED, earned a license in Cosmetology, and eventually became a successful owner of her own business, Camelback east Coiffures. Marcy continued her career until she was 86 years old.
Marcella leaves behind her three sons, and many, many friends, clients, co-workers, and neighbors.
She never met a stranger that she didn't like, and her laugher made everyone's day a little better.
She left us on July 4th, 2022. She was 91 years old. Her three sons, and Bonnie Salzman, a close friend, were with her that day. She would like to say that she left us, "with a bang on the Fourth of July!" Then, we would all have a laugh.
We would like to thank all the caregivers at Comfy Couch along with Hospice of The Valley's medical team for making Marcy's last months easier!
Marcy will be buried next to her husband in Johnston City.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on September 10, 2022 in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Tim Tebow officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
