Margaete (Griffith) Mocaby

Born November 12, 1941, went home with the Lord on October 14, 2026. She was 84 years old.

Margaete met and married the love of her life, Paul Mocaby, on May 31, 1957. They loved their life together for 67 years until his passing on September 29, 2024.

They have 7 Children; Paul Jr. of Centralia, Robin (Stebbins) of Thompsonville, Patrick (Petey) of Tucson, Arizona, April (Werner) of Noblesville, Indiana, Lynda (Kellogg) of Sullivan, Sam of West Frankfort, and Jacob of Pheonix, Arizona.

They also have 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Margaete was the Matriarch. She was a Christian and a proud member of the Catholic Church. She was known by many for her outstanding cooking skills. Her family was her life and she adored her small group of girlfriends. She was a member of the DAR and the Mayflower society and she loved to read.

Her concern to the end was her family and she passed at home surrounded by her loved ones. Our lives are now changed forever and her love and her presence will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and her daughter Robin (Stebbins). There will be no services per her request. Any donations should be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
