MARGARET LUCILLE FRANCESCON
Stiritz–Margaret (nee Chapman) Francescon, 92 of Stiritz passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at the Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo.
Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Wednesday December 23, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tod Parchman officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on April 21, 1917, in Alabama, to the late William Chapman and Isabella (Chapman) Davis.
She was a member of the South Point Church of God in West Frankfort.
She is survived by three sons, Donald W. Fancescon and wife Pat of Waterloo, Robert L. Francescon and wife Donna of Stiritz, and Michael A. Francescon and wife Terrie of Johnston City; two daughters, Patricia A. Mc Clung and husband Ed of Waterloo, and Shirley J. South and husband Gary of Marion; seven grandchildren, Brenda Hunter and husband Frank, Don Francescon and wife Tracey, Tony Francescon, Nick Francescon and wife Jessica, Marcus Francescon, Robbie Rosenbery and husband Pete, and Traci Stroud and husband Keven; and also two adopted grandchildren, Amanda Garabaglia and Gabby Mehrtens; twelve great grandchildren, Erica Cacioppo and husband Gino, Chris Barker and wife Shannon, Donnie Francescon, Tommie Francescon, Johnny Francescon, Alex Francescon, Mackenzie Rosenbery, Madalynn Rosenbery, Marlee Rosenbery, Bryce Pulley, Bailee Pulley, and Tyson Stroud; one great-great grandchild, Chris Barker; one brother, Harold Chapman and wife Robbie of Nashville, TN; and special friends, Garry and Wanda Mehrtens, and Georgina Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John "Hap" Francescon, whom she married October 11, 1933; two brothers and their wives, George Chapman and wife Lorraine, and Johnny Chapman and wife Irene; her half brother, Eugene White and wife Carol; one sister, Dorothy Chapman who died at birth; and two grandsons, Johnny Francescon and Bobby Melvin.
