Margie Lou Harris (Forcum), 82, of Johnston City, Illinois passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. She was born in Johnston City on September 19, 1943, to the late Loy and Helen Forcum (Goddard.)

Margie married Charles "Scott" Harris on July 12, 1962, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Magie had a passion for gardening, cooking, collecting antiques, and found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Margie will be remembered for her kind and caring heart, her warm smile, her corny jokes that always brought laughter, and her unwavering love for family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Harris; her children, Rhonda Maher (Kevin) of Evans, GA; Kevin Harris (Sherry) of West Frankfort ; Pamela Harris of Johnston City; and David Harris (Pam) of Johnston City; five grandchildren, Jake Harris (Sydney) of West Frankfort, Jordan Stephenson (Cegan) of Johnston City, Adam Maher (Samantha) of Evans, GA, Tyler Matheny (Hayley) of Marion and Amanda Mathney of Marion. Seven great-grandchildren, Copeland Harris, Weston and Remi Maher, Harper Leposky, Braxten, Kinsey and Jaxon Matheny; brothers, Dallas Forcum (Melissa), Daniel Forcum (Gay Anne) and Ronnie Forcum (Janice); and sisters, Diana Strunk (George) and Jeani West (Charlie), and sister-in-law Carol Forcum. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles Forcum; sister Brenda (Charlie) Fleming and their daughter Jennifer; niece Jodie Caraway and her beloved grandson, Jerad Maher.

Margie's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
