MARJORIE L. WILLIAMS

Pittsburg–Marjorie L. Williams 84, of Pittsburg passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 9:48 P.M. at the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Sunday January 10, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Carl "Dink" Phelps officiating. Burial will be in the #8 Cemetery east of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born on October 10, 1925, in Williamson County, the daughter of Charlie and Ethel (Rogers) Rogers. She married Loren George "Gabby" Williams on October 22, 1947 in Johnston City. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2007.

She was a coal miner's wife and a homemaker. She was a member of the Angelville Community Church in Poordo. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby R. Williams Sr. and wife Julia of Pittsburg, and Leonard Williams and wife Regina of Pittsburg; six grandchildren, LeAne Benton and husband Jeff of Hillsboro, Shelly Ettling of Hillsboro, Jason Williams and wife Toni of Pittsburg, Jennifer Jennings and husband Joey of Johnston City, Julia Campbell of Pittsburg, and Bobby R. Williams Jr. of Pittsburg; 10 great grandchildren, Brandon Black, Ciara Stroud, Justin Jennings, Shayla Williams, Taylor Greenrod, Mitchell Benton, Harley Williams. Austin Williams, Ariana Williams, and Christopher Williams; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and several close family friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Thelma Hayes.
