MARY IMHOFF

Johnston City– On July 19 th , 2018 Mary Imhoff passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 87. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son, David Imhoff, daughter Donna Imhoff, granddaughter Jade West and husband Shawn, 2 grandsons Drew and Derek Imhoff, 2 great granddaughters, Davani Arpasi and Gracie West, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mabel Dunn, her son Stephen, Five brothers, and her husband of 60 years, Donald.

She was born Mary Dunn on November 6 th , 1930 in Herrin. She graduated from Johnston City High School in 1950 and it was there she met the love of her life Donald Imhoff who she married in Chicago in 1951. They were married for 60 years and she traveled with him through his Navy career. They had 3 children together. She worked at the Johnston City Library for a short time, was a member of the Eastern Stars, and also enjoyed being an election judge for many years and would be upset if it wasn't mentioned she died a Republican. Mary enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She had many friends throughout her life, and anyone who met her knew how genuine of a woman she was. She was kind, funny, and loved shopping, jewelry, Fox news, and Werther's original candies. She will be remembered very fondly by her remaining family.

Services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday July 23, 2018 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens Officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home.
