Mary J. Jones

Johnston City–Mary Jones, of Johnston City, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:27 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Mary was born on April 30, 1931, in Lake Creek Township, the daughter of Fred and Maude (Biehl) Williams. She married Walter Jones in 1950 in Franklin County. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2018.

She is survived by one child, Ronald Jones and wife Teresa; three grandchildren Robin Vinyard, Brooke N. Helsley, John R. Jones; three great grandchildren Gentry, Georgia, and Dominic; one sister Ruby Flowers.

She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church of Johnston City.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Carol A. Shelby; one sister Ruth Irene Williams; four brothers Kenneth Williams, Harold Williams, Ralph Williams, and Herman Williams.

Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday July 14, 2018, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor David Milburn officiating. Burial will be in McCann Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
