MARY LYNDEL KEE

Johnston City-Mary Lyndel Kee 89 of Johnston City passed away on Sunday March 18, 2012 at 11:50 P.M. at Angel Acres in Marion surrounded by her family.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 22, 2012 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mary was born on February 8, 1923 in Johnston City the daughter of Elbert E and Prudie (Smith) Chandler. She married George R. Kee on April 21, 1946 in Johnston City. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1967.

Mary was a social worker for the I.D.P.A., starting in 1942 and retiring in 1981 as a certified case worker supervisor. She was the 1st prom queen at Johnston City High School. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Kee and wife Ruth of Johnston City, and Roger Kee and wife Holly of Johnston City; five grandchildren, Amy Kee, Ryan Kee, Adam Kee and friend Matthew de Leon, Kaitie Kee and fiancé Justin Done, and Jordan Kee; one great grandchild, Derek Conner Imhoff; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
