MARY KRIENKE
Johnston City-Mary M Krienke, 92 of Johnston City, died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Westside Care Center, West Frankfort. She was born July 27, 1922 in Logansport, Indiana to Charley Bell and Dosa (Davis) Bell.
Mary married Edward Krienke on April 1, 1945 in Logansport, Indiana; he died October 17, 1997. She worked as a machine operator at Burgess Battery and Micro Switch, Freeport, Illinois and moved to Johnston City in 1979 when she retired. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her sons Edward (Eddie) Hodson and Howard R. Hodson Sr., three brothers and a sister, one grandson, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
She is survived by her son Michael L (Karin) Hodson of Tampa, Florida, daughter-in-law, Sue Hodson of Simpson, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Bobby Parker. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Celtic Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
