MARY RINKUS

Johnston City–Mary Rinkus 98 passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 4:30 AM., at her family home.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday April 2, 2018 at the St Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City with Fr. Richard Mohr officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Church. Burial will be at a later date in the St. John's Cemetery in West Frankfort. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Mary was born on March 3, 1920 in Johnston City the daughter of Matt Sr. and Jennie (Vadnal) Hrovatich. She married Walter J. Rinkus on April 6, 1940 inHerrin. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1984.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church.

She is survived by one son, Robert Rinkus of Johnston City; one daughter, Mary Charlene Adams of Palos Heights; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Novotney of Whiting, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Arthur Rinkus; two sisters, Albina Hrovatich and Frances Halenz; and two brothers, Frank Hrovatich and Matt Hrovatich.
