MATTHEW KEITH RICHARD
Pittsburg–Matthew Keith Richard, 32, passed away at 7:48 P.M. on Monday May 9, 2016 in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday May 12, 2016, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Darrin Clark officiating. Burial will be in the #8 Cemetery east of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Matthew was born on July 26, 1983 in Carbondale, the son of Mick and Pamela (Clark) Richard.
Matthew was a correctional officer at the Shawnee Correctional Center
He is survived by his parents of Pittsburg; a brother, Brody Jack Richard of Herrin; a sister, Mikki Golliher and husband Preston of Sesser, a cousin, Chad Clark; a nephew, Lyric Golliher; a niece, Emersyn Golliher; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Juanita Clark; paternal grandparents, Jack and Barbara Richard; and an uncle Keith Clark.
