MAXINE WILLIAMS

Johnston City–Maxine Williams 100, of Johnston City passed away at 3:43 P.M. on June 9, 2018 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday June 11, 2018, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Barham Cemetery in Marion.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Johnston City.

She was born on April 20, 1918 in Johnston City the daughter of Nuburn and Ethel (Odle) Bryan. She married Lowell Williams on July 20, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1989.

She retired from Zwick's Concept II in Herrin.

She is survived by one son, Larry Williams of Fairfield; one granddaughter, Tammy Lee and husband Glen of Fairfield; one grandson, Bryan Williams and wife Barbara of Fairfield; three great grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Derek Lee, and Brandon Lee; and one great-great granddaughter, Peyton Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Buster Bryan; two sisters, Dorothy Neaville and Juanita Alexander; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Williams.
