MELVA JEAN COMBS

West Frankfort–Melva Jean Combs, 53, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:45 P.M. in Memorial hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held at a later date. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Melva was born on September 3, 1967 in Joliet, the daughter of Roy and Sharon Lee (Rushing) Younger.

She is survived by a sister, Shelbi Hammontree of West Frankfort; a brother Roy Younger and spouse Keith Parkhill of Carbondale; a sister, Lawanda Grizzell of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ryan Younger; grandparents, Eugene and Lillian Rushing; a niece, Cassandra Hammontree; and two uncles, Norman Rushing and Richard Rushing.
