MIKE CLEMENTS

Charles "Michael" Clements, age 70, passed away Saturday August 8, 2020. He was born in Johnston City, IL on February 20, 1950 to Charles and Pat Clements. He's preceded in death by his father, Charles Clements and survived by his mother, Pat Owens, as well as his sister, Cathy Spehar, brothers, Lance Clements, Jon Clements, Alan Owens and several nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Michael spent most of his life in Southern California as an accomplished architect. During his career, he spent over 20 years in business with his partner, Vandana Kelkar. When not practicing architecture, he was known for his adventurous spirit and enjoyed flying gliders, sailing out of Marina Del Ray, spelunking, ham radios and exploring the Western Indian country. He was also an avid collector of coins, antique guns and various memorabilia.

His loved ones will miss his quick wit and wry humor and are proud that he will be laid to rest on land that his great-grandfather and Johnston City founder, AJ Duncan, donated at the front corner of Lakeview Cemetery.

Should you wish to make a donation in his honor, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetes Association.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Stephen Hudspeth officiating.

Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of services.

There will be a luncheon after the service at Andresen's Café in Johnston City.
