MICHIEL "MIKE" DOBROSKI SR. "DUMMY"

Marion–Mike Dobroski, 64 of Marion, formerly of Johnston City departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 12:35 P.M. at the St. Louis University Hospital with his family by his side.

Mike was born on January 21, 1946 in West Frankfort the son of Bernard "Bob" Dobraski and Mildred Gene (Martin) Smith. He married Sharon Lee Lannom on October 19, 1970.

He served in the navy from January 17, 1968 to May 14, 1971. He held the rank BM2 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked at Old Ben 26 in Benton and retired in December of 1996. He loved fishing, hunting, and played men's slow and fast pitch softball. He loved driving his kids and son-in-law crazy.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Michelle Ann (Dobroski) VanBuskirk and husband John of Marion, Nancy Kathryn (Lannom) Connor and friend Kevin of Potosi, WI, Michiel Dobroski Jr. and wife Dawn of Royalton, Altie Thomas "T-Time" Dobroski of Marion and Teresa Anne (Dobroski) Walter and husband Tom Sr. of Vilseck, Germany; eleven grandchildren, Michael E. Diefenbach and wife Kari of Royalton, Michiel Dobroski III, Molly Lynn Dobroski, Gabby and Koda Winemiller of Royalton, John Robert and Anthony VanBuskirk of Marion, Ashleigh Holland of Murphysboro, Terry Dean, Thomas Jr. "Budda", Shanna Rachelle Blake Walter "Princess" of Vilseck, Germay; one brother, Robert B. Dobraski and wife Cathy of Johnston City; one nephew, Blake Dobraski and wife Tiffany of Johnston City; and best friends, Mike and Gin Gibbens of Savannah, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one niece, Khristal Dobraski; and both mother-in-law and father-in-law.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Grange Hall Cemetery south of Marion, with Graveside military rites conducted by the Marion V.W.F. and American Legion and Illinois Army National Guard. Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
