MILDRED WALLINGER

Marion–Mildred Wallinger 82, of Marion, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 8:17 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Memorial Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home.

Mildred was born on December 21, 1926, in Stonefort, the daughter of Freeman Harold and Reba Ester (Casey) Tanner. She married Staff Sgt. Robert Charles Wallinger . He preceded her in death. She was a retired CNA and a member of the Coal Bank Springs Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Nickens and husband Ernest of Freeman Spur; two sons, James Wallinger of Marion, and Charles Wallinger of Marion; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother, Vernell Tanner or Creal Springs, two sisters, Shirley Tanner of North Carolina and Benita Unger and husband Willis of South Elgin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Earnest Tanner; and one sister, Lucille Hilliard.
