NANCY ANN CUTSINGER

Ms. Nancy Ann Cutsinger (born Nancy Short), of Johnston City, IL passed away in her home on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was "39" years old (according to her).

Nancy was born in West Frankfort to Samuel and Lorraine (Davis) Short (later Satterfield).

She graduated from Johnston City High School where she was voted most humorous of her graduating class, a title she upheld through the duration of her life. She attended Beauty College in Paducah, KY. Thereafter, she worked as a beautician for 54 years.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Pennie (Brett) Franklin, Pattie (Baraka) Jones, and Paula (Matt) Grant; her six grandchildren Kyle Franklin, Keith Franklin, Whitney (Michael) McDonough, Sidney Jones, Sam Grant, and Quentin Jones; one great-grandchild, Wren Faye McDonough; brother, Rob Satterfield; nieces, Katie Short and Jami Jo (Satterfield) Mazurek; Jay McNeill, her boyfriend of 14 years; and lifelong friends, Pat Morneweg, Carol Davis, and Betty Blades.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Billy Short and Lucien Satterfield.

Nancy lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. She was an avid dancer. Her laugh was contagious. Her door was always open. She and Jay loved to travel and were able to visit Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic. They attended Mardi Gras Festival in New Orleans for the past 13 years. They also enjoyed camping at the river and riding motorcycles.

A celebration of life will be held at Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at 7:00 pm with visitation between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Memorial may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
