NINA KATHRYN KESLER BURNETT

Johnston City–Nina Kathryn Kesler Burnett 95, of Johnston City passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 6:24 P.M. in the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 29, 2015 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Keith Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy.

Nina was born on November 4, 1920 in Charleston the daughter of Leo Earl and May (Pearcy) Ferguson. She married Charles Burnett who preceded her in death.

She was of Christian Faith and volunteered at churches in Johnston City. She worked at Eastern Illinois University in Housekeeping and also for Teamsters Union Office Work. She graduated from Charleston High School.

She is survived by two sons, John Kesler of Charleston and Joe Kesler of Johnston City; granddaughters, Kelli Joe Kesler, and Hillary Ann Kesler; two sisters, Betty Duffle and Gracy Jones; and a brother, Ed Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Brian Kesler and Eddy Kesler; a daughter, Cloe Kesler a sister, Ruth Ann Hickcox; two brothers, Willis Ferguson and Richard Ferguson.

The family would like to thank caregivers Kim Gaddis, Nancy Messamore, Cindy Houghlan, Josie Pedigo, and Tammy Vargus.
