NINA (PICKLES) GARNER MIHALICH
Johnston City-Nina (Pickles) Garner Mihalich, born April 8, 1918, passed peacefully from this earth on March 4, 2012 at the age of 93 with loved ones by her side.
She was the 6th and longest surviving of 11 children from parents Anna Farmer and Thomas Pickles. Nina was born and raised in West Frankfort and remained in that area until she had health issues late in life.
She was twice widowed after long marriages to John Garner, 47 years, and Nicholas Mihalich, 20 years. Nina is survived by Nieces, Nephews and friends and will be fondly remembered.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Thomas Pickles officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.
