MARGARET (PEGGY) LITTLEFAIR

Johnston City-Peggy Littlefair passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 from complications of Alzheimer's disease in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Peggy was born in Johnston City, Illinois on September 8, 1932. She was the younger daughter of Florence (Paden) Duddy and Charlie Duddy. She attended St. Paul's Catholic School and Johnston City High School graduating in 1949.

Peggy was a 4th grade teacher in the Johnston City School District. After her retirement Peggy relocated to Iowa, but she always considered Johnston City to be her home.

Peggy is survived by her children, Joe Littlefair and Donna Genz, both residents of West Des Moines; her grandchildren, Laura Genz of West Des Moines, and Andrew (Theresa) Genz of Muscatine, Iowa; her sister Pat Craig, niece Rosemary (Bob) Whitacre and their families of Lakeland, Florida.

Peggy will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 16th at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City with Father Larry Lemay officiating. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am with burial immediately following at Lakeview Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour before Mass at the church. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City.
