PHILIP JOSEPH SASADE SR.

Johnston City–Philip Joseph Sasade Sr. 65, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:24 A.M. at home.

Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion and Illinois Army National Guard.

He was born on January 6, 1951, in Chicago, the son of Anthony James and Anna (Rizzo) Sasade. He married Betty (Beaver) on July 20, 1969 in Marion. She survives.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War Proudly serving in the Army. He was self-employed working in fill-strip and wax.

He is survived by one son, Philip Sasade Jr. and fiancée Tonya Green of Macedonia; one daughter, Beth Hall and David Pryor of Ewing; three grandchildren, Sadie Hall, Anthony Sasade, and Kaden Pryor; two sisters, Lucy Brock and husband Steven of Johnston City and Rosalie Vanek of Herrin; and 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Rizzo; and one sister, Mary Anna Hornsby.
