RALPH T. LEE

Johnston City–Ralph T. Lee, 72 of Johnston City passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 9:45 P.M. at his family home.

Services will be held at the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City on Monday April l2, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M conducted by Sr. Catherine Wellinghoff. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W and American Legion and the Illinois Army National Guard.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Catholic Church or to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Ralph was born on October 5, 1937 in Johnston City, the son of Ralph J. and Eileen Rose (Leonard) Lee. He was married to Beverly Ann (Cash) in October of 1977 in Herrin. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2006.

Ralph was a retired coal miner and a member of the U.M.W.A. He was a veteran proudly serving in the marines. He was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Buccaneer's Club of Johnston City.

He is survived by a daughter, Eileen Boyt and husband Pat of Pittsburg; a daughter, Amy E. Lind and husband Bart of Johnston City; a son, Jason Lee of Johnston City; a son, Ralph Michael Lee of Johnston City; a daughter, Sara Szynkowski and husband Nick of Johnston City; four step-children, Cindy Ceto and husband Chuck of Herrin, Paula Triplett and husband Bill of Herrin, Terry Godbey and wife Gayla of Pittsburg, and Joey Clardy and wife Lori of Herrin; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Maureen Kee and husband Vernon of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Michelle Rose Lee.
