Rex Dean Will, age 71, passed away on October 23, 2024, at Barnes Hospital due to heart complications. Rex lived a life filled with love and laughter, cherishing his wife, Mary Jane, with whom he shared 53 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a nurturing home for their two children, Jason (Heather) Will and Molly (T.A.) Pierson.

Rex was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Erika (Shawn) Alongi, Tyler (Ell) Pierson, Cutter (Hannah) Will, Taylor Pierson, Trevor Pierson, Addison Will, Jaycie Will, and Tross Pierson, and he took great joy in his role as a great-grandfather to Tate Pierson. His family was his greatest treasure, and he will be remembered for the love and wisdom he shared with each of them.

After retiring from Wal-Mart, Rex devoted his time to camping and working at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds, where he made countless friends and lasting memories. His warm spirit and friendly nature allowed him to connect with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Rex's life was a testament to kindness, joy, and the importance of family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene located 12 N 7th St. in Murphysboro, with a funeral service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Will to help cover expenses.
