RICHARD BARRY HALE

Marion–Richard Barry Hale 59 of Marion passed away at 3:15 A.M. on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday November 20, 2014 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. A visitation will be held on Sunday at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, KY with a funeral to be held on Monday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

He began his career as a mining Engineer in 1978 working for Massey Energy for 29 years in Eastern Kentucky, Southern West Virginia, and Virginia. He started working for Foresight Energy in Illinois in 2007 till present. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion.

He was born on September 8, 1955 in Williamson, West Virginia the son of Fred and Margaret "Nell" (Kirk) Hale. He married Paula Farley on August 13, 1977 in Matewan, West Virginia. She survives.

He is survived by his mother of Marion; a daughter, Morgan Gant and husband Joshua of Marion; twin granddaughters, Haley and Harper; one sister, Betty Hale of Marion; and one brother, Robert Hale of Toler, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his father.
