ROBERT L. FRICK
Johnston City–Robert L. Frick 80, of Johnston City passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 1:43 P.M. at the Herrin Hospital.
There will be no visitation. Friends and family are asked to go directly to Lakeview Cemetery for a graveside service to be held on Monday August 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Envelopes will available at the funeral home or cemetery.
Robert was born on September 28, 1929 in Johnston City, the son of Leo E. and Francis (Jones) Frick. He married Esther J. (Daniels) on October 8, 1949. She survives.
He retired from the machine shop at Diagraph Bradley in 1995 after 40 years of work. He was a member of the Johnston City Fire Department, National Campers & Hikers Association, Johnston City Park Board and Boy Scouts of America. He a was member of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church
He is survived by one son, Joe Frick and wife Ann of Stiritz; two grandchildren, Mike Frick and wife Rhonda of Johnston City, and David Frick and wife Tonya of Johnston City; 5 great grandchildren, Hunter Frick, Lily Frick, Dalton Frick, Logan Frick, and Talyn Frick; one sister, Ruby Short and husband Harold of Marion; one brother, Gene Frick and wife Trudy of California; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Frick family would like to give special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, and caregivers of the Herrin Hospital for their dedication and excellent care of Robert Frick during his recent stay.
