BOB NEIBEL

Marion-Robert LeRoy Neibel 89 passed away on Wednesday January 5,2022 at 1:00 AM in Barnes-Jewish Hospital St. Louis, Missouri.

He married Louise Milligan on February 16,1954. Together they had one daughter Renee.

Bob was in the Army and worked for General Telephone for over 40 years. He also owned Neibel's Whispering Pine Christmas Tree Farm. Bob loved Christmas and looked forward to visit with his friends and sell his trees.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Rhoda (Wilburn) Neibel, his wife Louise and daughter Renee. Three sisters Lucille Malone, Della Ledbetter, Juanita Palombi and one brother Wayne Neibel; and an infant brother.

He is survived by one sister Lillian Maxine Lawrence of St. Charles Illinois. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Two sister-in-law Beverly Stonum and Carol Tarrant.

Services will be held on Monday January 10, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Steven Higgs and Pastor John Howat officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Becker Cemetery east of Johnston City with graveside military rites conducted by the Carterville American Legion Post 347, Herrin American Legion Post 645, the Herrin VFW, and the Army Honors Burial Team.
