ROBERTA ANN RAGSDALE

Johnston City–Roberta Ann Ragsdale 77, of Johnston City passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 6:25 P.M. at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Stephen Hudspath officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. at the church. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Roberta was born on September 1, 1940, in Johnston City the daughter of Robert Leo and Lillian Elizabeth (Mowbray) Edwards. She was married George D. Ragsdale on November 1, 1958 in Johnston City. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1998.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Johnston City.

She is survived by a son, Jim Ragsdale and wife Tanya of Johnston City; a daughter, Lisa McPheron and husband Kent of Johnston City; six grandchildren, Josh, Jake and wife Jen, Eli, Erica Ragsdale, Megan Shewcraft and husband Quentin, and Gabe McPheron, six great grandchildren, Zalen, Ariana, Aiden, Ian, Axel, Brielle; two sisters Debbie Ditch and husband Rick of Johnston City and Joan Conkovich and husband Jerry of Johnston City; and a sister-in-law, Judy Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Gene Edwards.
