Obituary

RONNIE EUGENE LITTON

Johnston City-Ronnie Eugene Litton 78 passed away on Friday July 3, 2026 at 8:36 P.M. in Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN.

A graveside service will be held on Friday July 10 at 11:00 A.M. in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion and the Army Burial Ritual Team.

Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie “Redwing” Litton was the definition of a good man. He loved spending time with friends and family, and was known for helping others. He spent his free time looking at engines, and would tell you everything there was to know about fast cars, including that they should always be red. His gentle spirit was evident to all who knew him.

He proudly served in the army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his nephew (Jason) and niece (Eris) who he regarded as his own son and daughter. His son-in-law, William Lopez, several cousins; and several “grandchildren”, with a “great grand-child” due any day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruth (Ramsey) Litton; and a brother Jerry Litton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude hospital in honor of Ronnie Litton, as it was a cause close to his heart.
