ROSEMARY REED

Johnston City-Rosemary Reed 95 passed away at 7:17 P.M. on Sunday April 12, 2026 at the Helia Health Care in Benton.

Services will be held on Saturday April 18, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home of Johnston City with Pastor Todd Hawk officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Rosemary was born on July 17, 1930 in Johnston City the daughter of Matt and Luci (Marnich) Dragovich. She married Cecil Virgil Reed on September 5, 1953 in Johnston City. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2003.

She was a dietary cook at Harrisburg Hospital and also a cook at John A. Logan Day Care. She was a member of the Harvest Time Church in Herrin.

She is survived by one son, Michael G. Reed of Marion; one step-son David V. Reed of Harrisburg; two step-daughters, Barbara Scholts of St. Louis and Evelyn Sikes St. Louis; nine great grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; five brothers; and a daughter.
