RUTH DELORESE DOERING

Johnston City–Ruth Delorese Doering 83, of Johnston City passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 3:07 P.M. in the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruth was born on April 22, 1932 in Jonesboro the daughter of Oliver Alexander and Ruth (Zimmerman) Keller. She was married Robert Loren Doering on December 10, 1954 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1996.

She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of West Frankfort.

She is survived by one son, David Doering and wife Ramona of Herrin; four granddaughters, Heather Miller, Leslie Miller, Nicole Brown, and Kimberly Doering; five great grandchildren, Lane Childers, Emma Robinson, Shawn Brown, Nicholas Brown, and Brentley Brown; two brothers, Buddy Keller and wife Carol Ann of Forest Hill, LA and Sanford Keller and wife Linda of Houston, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Joann Doering of Muskegon, MI, Jim and Glendine Doering of Pekin, Clara Mae Locascio of Lisle, Areta and Les Eisenhauer of Johnston City, Marilyn and Jesse Jeralds of Johnston City, and Carol and Ray Baine of West Frankfort; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Stanley Keller; and a brother-in-law, Joe Locascio.
